ABOUT RAYN

Rayn Epremian is a writer, filmmaker, artist, and language enthusiast telling speculative stories in various formats. In 2018 she wrote, directed, and produced the short fantasy film 'Multiverse'. Her poetry has appeared in speculative poetry magazine Liminality and in two of Proverse Hong Kong's "Mingled Voices" print anthologies. Rayn spent February 2019 writing a fantasy novel at the Villa Sarkia residency in Sysmä, Finland, and in July 2019 she attended the SLS poetry workshop with Ariana Reines in Tbilisi, Georgia. Rayn has an MSc in Evolution of Language and Cognition from the University of Edinburgh, with a dissertation on the evolution of narrative. Her short story 'A Star on the Tongue' was a runner-up in the Language Evolves competition and is forthcoming in Fusion Fragment. Rayn's next film, 'Sea Monsters', is about magical creatures living in modern-day Edinburgh. Other projects in the works include a poetry collection, several feature screenplays, and a musical.
